George is a Senior VP of Development for Howard Hughes Corporation. He is responsible for the repositioning of South Street Seaport, including the reconstruction of Pier 17 and the historical restoration of the Tin Building. Prior to joining HHC, George worked for Westfield, LLC, leading the development on the World Trade Center and Fulton Station retail projects. He led the Northeast Development of a $50MM renovation and repositioning of the Trumbull Shopping Center in Connecticut.
Throughout his 30 year career, George has been involved in public/private partnerships, negotiating and developing projects in airports and transportation centers for the Port Authority of NY&NJ and Westfield. He delivered innovative retail concession programs in airports throughout the U.S., and consulted on airport privatizations in Honduras, Mexico and Peru. He also redeveloped over 400,000SF of street retail for Columbia University’s Morningside Campus. George is a graduate of Rutgers University with a BA in Economics.
