Sydney Franklin is an architectural journalist keen on covering stories related to gender and racial equality in the profession, commemorative design, and sports architecture. Having grown up in Louisville, Kentucky, she’s particularly interested in the economic development of America’s Southeast region, its politics, and academic design research.
She previously worked as a social coordinator and editor with the AIA during the A’18 Conference in New York. She formerly served as the Staff Writer at Architizer and as Content Producer at the City of New York’s Department of Design and Construction. She holds a master’s degree in arts journalism from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications.
